Tim Brown joined Crosspoint Capital as an Operating Advisor in 2025 and currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer for SolarWinds, overseeing internal IT security, product security, and security strategy.  Tim led the response and remediation efforts following the SUNBURST cyber attack in December 2020 and has shared the experience and lessons with the world.   Prior to SolarWinds, Tim was a Dell Fellow, a Distinguished Engineer, a CTO, an Architect and a Chief product officer.  Tim is a regular conference speaker and has had the honor of appearing in front of US House and Senate committees.   An avid inventor, Tim holds 18 patents in security technologies.
